Titanfall 2 goes free to play in Steam, but only temporarily

Apex Legends’ next season, nicknamed “Legacy,” was on the horizon, and as the name suggests, The Apex Legends Lore also reviewed several characters from their past. In particular, we have seen references to a number of titanfall 2 characters in marketing for the Legends Legends season, but if you really want to see where it all starts, there is no better way to do that rather than playing Titanfall 2. Fortunately, RESPAWN has made it very easy this weekend if you happen to be a PC gamer.

Titanfall 2 has gone free to play steam for the weekend, giving players who are interested in the opportunity to check it without having to spend cash to buy it first. Recently, we have seen a number of steam promotions that allow players to keep free games permanently after they are claimed, but it is important to note that this is not one of these promotions.

Instead, this is just a free-to-play weekend while. Titanfall 2 is free to download and played in Steam now until Monday, May 3 at 10 am PDT / 1 PM EDT. Once Monday morning roll over, the game will no longer be free and you have to buy it if you want to continue playing.

Unfortunately, it seems like there is no sale in Titanfall 2 to go along with this promotion, which shows that this is more meant to promote the new Apex legends season. However, Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition runs $ 24.99 today, and it’s good to show that it is included in the EA game, which is available through steam and Xbox Game Pass for PCs.

This could be good news for Titanfall 2 fans who have played steam, because for this weekend at least, that means the multiplay lobby might be packed with players. It’s not difficult to imagine a free promotion that leads to at least some new players outside the weekend too, so if you want to get the time of the game with Titanfall 2, now is the time to do.
