Fall guys for Xbox and Switch delayed and Crossplay are to blame
Falling friends, if you haven’t heard, come to the Xbox and switch at some point in the future. Initially, the Xbox version and game switch were scheduled to launch this summer, but now the two versions have been postponed. Instead, MediaTonic developers have indicated that it will add cross-play to fall friends before it is launched on the Xbox and switch.
“With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we realize that the 2021 summer switch which was previously announced and the Xbox release schedule we unfortunately too fast for us to enter all the delicious new features we were working on,” Mediatonic said. On a blog post today. The company goes to explain that the delay will give a team “some time to add features such as Crossplay,” and suggest that the feature will live in the switch version and Xbox from the first day.
Unfortunately for those who want to dive into Fall Guys on the Xbox or Switch, Mediatonic does not give us a new release window targeted for both of these versions. The hope is that this delay will not be too dramatic – maybe we will see Fall Guys come to the Xbox and replace this fall, not this summer? – But without a new target from MediaTonic, it’s impossible to say it’s definite.
In a faster future, Mediatonic said that it will continue to glide the new season and all who require, including new costumes, shows and rounds. MediaTonic also specifically refers to update upcoming season 4.5 for Guys Fall, which will add two new rounds and refresh the number of costumes available.
