Ar Rahman’s Daughter Khatija Engaged, Share Photos with Fiance
Ace Musician AR Rahman is the oldest daughter, Khatija, Engaged to Audio Engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed on December 29. The ceremony took place in Chennai on his birthday in front of a close family member and friends.
“With the blessings of the Almighty, I am happy to announce all of you with my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed @riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring businessman and audio engineer Wizkid,” Khatih Rahman announced on Instagram on Sunday, along with a photo collage.
Shaik Mohamed, which is a direct voice engineer at Studio AR Rahman, also shared a photo collage on Instagram and wrote, “With the blessings of the Almighty, I am happy to announce to you all my engagement with Khatija Rahman, @ khatija.rahman musicians, producers & philanthropics.”
The bride replied to love by dropping comments on his post. “Thanks and grateful for making you in my life Riyasdeen. In Shaa Allah. Allah is a baric,” he wrote.
Khatih Rahman wore red clothes, in collaboration with a red face mask for engagement.
In 2019, Princess Rahman was attached to wearing a headscarf. In social media posts, he clarified that choosing to wear niqab was his independent decision, and it did not enact it, urging people not to judge.
Rahman’s wife’s name is Saira Banu. The couple has two daughters, Khatija and Rahima, and a son, Ameen.
Last year, Khatija sang songs, “bye baby birds”, in the film Hindi “Mimi”, starring Kriti Sanon. The song was compiled by his father. He reportedly made his singing debut at the age of 14, singing “O Maramanishi / Puthiya Manidha” in the Tamil “Robo” film with SP music legend Balasubramanyam. The song was also compiled by his father.
