Early Life
On March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, U. S. Wilma and Ray Dee Norris brought their son Carlos Ray Norris to this world. His father was a World War II Army soldier, a mechanic, bus driver, and truck driver. Norris has Ireland roots and cherokee. He has two younger siblings, Wieland and Aaron. Norris’s parents divorced when he was 16 years old. After that, his mother, her siblings and she lived in the village of Prairie, Kansas, before they moved to Torrance, California.
Career
In 1958, Norris joined the United States Air Force as Air Police (AP). He was sent to Osan Air Base, South Korea, where he trained in Tang Soo Do. After returning to the US, he continued to serve as AP at the March Air Force Base in California. In 1962, he was issued from the US Air Force, and was applied to become a police officer.
While he was on the waiting list for the job, he decided to open a martial arts studio, and also to participate in martial arts competitions. Over time, he became better and better, and five years later, he opened the Karate school chain. Some celebrities attend school at his school, including Steve McQueen, Chad McQueen, Bob Barker, Priscilla Presley, Donny Osmond, and Marie Osmond. After winning many martial arts championships, Norris founded his own discipline Chun Kuk Do.
In 1969, Norris made his acting debut with the film The Wrecking Crew. Three years later, he starred in with Bruce Lee in the Way of the Dragon martial arts film. From 1958 to 1989, Chuck Norris married his classmate Dianne Holechek. They share two sons, Mike and Eric. Norris also has a daughter who was born from an infidelity outside of marriage. In 1998, he married the former model of Gena O’Kelley, who was 23 years younger than him. He has two children from previous marriages. Norris and O’Kelley shared twins. In 2017, he has thirteen chandchildren.
