Maharashtra Minister Being Questioned In Case Linked To Mumbai Underworld
Mumbai: In the middle of the war that increased from the words between the Government of Maha Vikas Agadhi Maharashtra and the Center, Nawab State Minister Malik was brought to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) this morning to be questioned. Officials of the Central Probe Institute reached the home of the Nationalist Congress leader (NCP) at 6 am where he was questioned for one hour. He was then taken to the ed office at 7:30 a.m. and was questionable there since 8:30 a.m.
The 62-year-old minister has been summoned by ED in connection with the money laundering case associated with the lower activity of Mumbai, Gangster Fugitive Dawood Ibrahim and his maid, officials told the PTI news agency. The agency recorded a statement under the prevention of money laundering Law (PMLA).
The Nawab Malik office confirmed the development in the tweet from the official Twitter account.
“Today Ed has come to the residence of @Nawabmalikncp saheb. They accompanied Saheb in his vehicle to the office ed. Advocate Amir Malik, Putra Saheb has accompanied Saheb together,” he said.
Reacting to Malik Malik’s question, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has accused of central agencies to motivate politics. In a smooth warning to BJP, Mr. Raut also said that he would “expose” some of the officials involved in corruption “no matter how much it cost”.
“Nawab Malik gave rise to the truth. Anyone who spoke to them (BJP) had CBI and Ed released after them. Ed had taken him in the morning. Let them investigate, we hope he will return to the night,” he. said.
Head of NCP Sharad Pawar echoed the accusation of Sena MP that those who talked against the center and targeted probe agents. “We know Nawab Malik will be targeted in this way when he attacks the center. I don’t know about the case of him but the name Dawood is always called to try to defame the rival name,” he said.
Mr. Pawar claimed that he was also accused of having a relationship with the lower world when he was the country’s lead minister. “25 years later, the same trick is used to harass and denounce,” he added.
