Polycarpa Mytiligera can take apart all her organs if it is dissected into three parts

The researchers have made extraordinary discoveries use the same creature as Eilat Bay. These creatures are called polycarpa mytiligera and are ascidian species, which are marine animals commonly found in bay waters that are able to regenerate their organs. Strangely, the researchers found that animals could regenerate all the organs even when dissected into three fragments.

Scientists say that it is an astonishing discovery because it is an animal belonging to the Chordata phylum, which is an animal with back straps, which also includes humans. The ability to regenerate the organ itself is not uncommon for the animal kingdom. One example is a gecko that is able to refresh its tail. However, it is not common for creatures to be able to confront the whole body system.

With Polycarpa Mytiligera, scientists have found creatures that can regenerate all organs even if separated into three parts, each part knows exactly how to regain the function of all the lost body systems in a short time. Project researcher Tal Gordon said that by all accounts, Ascidian is a simple organism with two openings on his body, and in the body is a central organ that resembles a pasta filter.

The creature sucks water through the body’s entry point, and the filter filter food particles that remain in the body, and clean water comes out through the exit point. Scientists say that among Invertebrates, Ascidian is considered closest to humans from an evolutionary point of view. While these creatures are known for their regenerative abilities, this ability has been identified especially in asexual reproduction.

This research marks the first time high regenerative capacity has been detected in chordate animals which only reproduce by sexual reproduction. In experiments, researchers dissect specimens in methods that leave the body parts without nerve centers, heart, and part of the digestive system. Every part of the creature survives its own dissection, all organs are regenerated in each of the three parts that produce three ascidians.
