Samsung SmartTag + Tracker Launched in the US to Take Apple Airtag
Samsung is ready to face Apple Airtag with the launch of SmartTag + in the United States. This new tracking accessory is designed to stick to objects that might be misplaced, including your key, bag, and wallet. Trackers feature ultra-wideband technology and Bluetooth le combined with an AR guide to the wrong item.
Samsung SmartTag + is a tracking accessory shaped rhombus that displays a small hole where someone can install a key chain or rope. When used with a smartphone that supports UWB (Galaxy S21 + and Ultra, for example), users can use the AR Finder feature to get a visual indicator on the screen that points to the location of their object.
Likewise, tags can emit a hard alarm to help users find it. Assuming you are too far away for that option, the location of the item will also be seen on the map through a combination of Bluetooth Le and Samsung’s SmartHings Search network, which consists of the owner of the Galaxy device that chooses to help CrowdSource location tracked items.
In addition, SmartTag + Tracker also supports various functions that can be set by users in the SmartHings application. For example, the tracker can also be used to control the light so that when you press the button, the lights are turned off. Of course, the object you want to control will have to be a device connected with the support of Smarthings.
Customers in the US can now buy SmartTag + Tracker from Samsung and Amazon for $ 39.99, a ten-dollar increase over the price of the regular smarttag
